Joe Armstrong

Joe Armstrong is a 22-year-old flautist, uilleann piper and whistle player from Glasgow. Joe began his musical career at St. Roch's Irish Minstrels CCE branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, where he now prides himself as part of the St. Rochs Senior Ceilidh Band.

He is now in his first year of study as part of the MMus (Scottish Music) Masters Degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During these studies, he is taught traditional flute by Hamish Napier, along with jazz flute by Paul Towndrow. Joe uses all of his musical influences combining different aspects of Irish, Scottish and jazz music to create a unique style of musicianship.
